Murcott Traditional Horse & Pony Show
at Manor Farm, Murcott on Sunday 8th September Report by Emma Richardson-Steele
M
urcott Traditional Horse & Pony Show is located midway between Bicester and Oxford with easy access from the M40.
The show was started by Emma Richardson-Steele last year in memory of her brother and it was such a success that she hosted the show again this year. We have four rings; in hand, ridden, children's fun classes and Concours d'Elegance. All held at Manor Farm, Murcott on the edge of Otmoor, an area of outstanding natural beauty. With the kindness and goodwill of many local people and businesses, many of the classes were sponsored which enables us to award the most exquisite rosettes and sashes.
The show is a genuine, old fashioned show where we aim to encourage and educate the next generation of riders and to welcome back to the show rings some more mature rusty riders too!
It has been fabulous to receive such enthusiastic feedback from our competitors, which is very much appreciated by my team of volunteers and helpers.
