Cirencester Scene Magazine - Establishing Local Connections

Hello to all our readers, advertisers and contributors. I know it’s only November, but already our advertisers and contributors are looking ahead to Christmas! We’re hardly into autumn in my head, where summer seems such a short time ago. As expected, The Barn Theatre’s production of Daddy Long Legs was fan- tastic. The best yet! See our review page 23. Next show there is Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol. Hope you’re not going to be a Scrooge too, and will be supporting all our local traders in Cirencester, and in particular, sam- pling the wares from the festive stalls at the ‘Christmas in Cirencester’ all day event (see our centre page pullout for full details) and Lights Switch On, on 30th November and enjoying the many wonderful entertainments. And don’t miss the incredible display by Cotswold Fireworks. This time of year, if you run a business or are self-employed, you need to start preparing for the taxman. Why not book an appointment at the Numbercrunchers? (front page and page 15). They take the strain away and make it simple for you. Have a great month. Jan Sparrow, Editor.

BOOK WINNERS!

Winners of last month’s competition for Victoria Day-Joel’s book of poems, published by Olympia Publishers, are Nicola Branch and Carole Price.

The answer is Oliver. PT CirenScene-Ad-OCT19[1].indd 1 10/09/2019 15:02
