Mac’s Golden Bites Rules for better health: How to stay physically fit...
Dwindling Muscles
Evidence shows that 50 is the age when our bodies can start to decline if we don’t put in the extra care, but don’t panic!
Age-related muscle loss isn’t inevitable – it’s only the result of an inactive lifestyle from excessive sitting or lying down. This leads to the weaken- ing of muscles which then ultimately slows your metabolism down and makes your muscles soft and saggy!
Taught / toned muscles burn calories faster, make you stronger and you will even burn more calories at rest.
Strength training will help build and maintain the muscles and faster calorie burn. Mac’s motto is - “Use it or you lose it”
When deciding on a weight, choose a level of resistance you find comfortably uncomfortable for performing 10-15 repetitions.
Do a little strength routine every day for 10-15 minutes and you will be sure to keep up your strength!
