Eight-post boat lift T

he benefits of storing a boat out of the water are well- known and these are now available for large power and

sailing vessels weighing from 32,000- 240,000 lb. An eight-post boat lift has recently been introduced by Golden Boat Lifts, which can be adapted to accommodate a wide range of hull shapes. Golden Boat Lifts uses only welded 6061 T6 marine grade aluminum and 300-series stainless steel hardware and cables in its US factory. This attention to superior materials is a commitment to safety – a major consideration when hoisting up to 120 tons.

When dealing with large vessels,

weight distribution is imperative, so it’s important to fully support the hull. That’s why Golden Boat Lifts uses customised, carpeted wood or optional

aluminum I-beam or extruded bunks to provide maximum support, whether it’s for a mono-hull or catamaran. The company’s patented Golden Sea-Drives provide 8,000 inch-pounds of torque

Safety ladder

A video on the Rolec Services website introduces the company’s BerthMaster Online system for the remote management of service pedestals and describes how it allows marina staff to remotely manage every berth’s electric and water services across the marina, saving time and improving their customers’ experience.

It has been designed with berth-

holders in mind. Operated via a smart phone or other web-enabled device, berth-holders can now also interact directly with the marina services, turning their electricity and water supply on and off, and pre-paying for their services upfront on their account. MARINA INDUSTRY • SEPTEMBER 2019

The modular construction of the LifeLadder® developed by Port-Safety ApS consists of reinforced plastic modules in a UV-resistant shade of solid yellow. The design combines the flexibility

of a rope ladder with the rigidity of an ordinary marine ladder – modules are tied together by synthetic ropes, yet held apart by compressible rubber spacers. The modular concept contributes to

improvements in sustainability, as any repairs only involve replacing broken modules rather than procuring a completely new ladder. The idea of LifeLadder® is covered

by Pending Patent Application no. EP17166906.2. Port-Safety ApS info@port-safety.com www.port-safety.com
