BREAKWATERS AND PONTOONS11

Renovation project at Australian marina D

espite solid economic growth of around 3% per annum, the Australian market remains relatively

unknown to many medium-sized French companies, but this is not the case for Poralu Marine, which specialises in the design and manufacture of high quality equipment for harbours. The company has recently delivered its pontoons to several marinas on the Southern Continent and installed Seabins to collect floating debris and plastic waste. A recent project involved the

renovation and extension of Hillarys Boat Harbour in Perth, Western Australia. Working in co-operation with Shorewater Marine, its local distributor, Poralu is continuing to develop this 475-berth marina that can accommodate boats from 10-35 metres The facility is operated by the local government’s Department of

Hillarys Boat Harbour in Perth, Western Australia.

Transport and the latest phase of construction included replacement of concrete berths with new pontoons

made from marine quality aluminium alloy, which were supported by piles and equipped with service pedestals.
