THE CRISIS…
“Homelessness” is the condition of people lacking a fixed, regular and adequate night-time residence. The crisis of homelessness in America is worsening, and the gap between the economic top 1% of the population and the rest of the population has been increasingly widening since 1980. Simply put, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.
The homeless crisis is not hidden. It is highly visible. In the 1950’s, you never saw anyone begging on the streets; today it is a common sight.
