about your horses, your life, your family history? How about a cowboy romance, a show jumping adventure or a racetrack mystery? Young adult or children’s stories, even country cookbooks – we want to help YOU tell your story. Barnmice Books offers new and es-
tablished authors affordable editorial and proofing services, cover design and print- ing, as well as promotions and marketing opportunities. You’ve seen all those ads for “we publish your book” online or in maga- zines – those companies simply print them up, ship them to you and charge highly in- flated fees! Without access to industry-ap- proved Canadian distribution outlets, these “publishing” companies simply supply the product but don’t market or promote – you have to do that all by yourself without any knowledgeable support. Barnmice Books offers author serv-
ices that can be “cherry picked” as needed: proof-reading and editorial, cover design, writing author biographies, promotional outlets as well as invaluable publicity guidelines and ideas that will get your book noticed…and sold! We also offer advice on

Remembering September 1985
Yes! We all remember the 80’s
when the government had us paying up to 20% in interest. The banks were gouging farmers and stealing farms. What a shameful time it was. However, the ORA reported
that it was standing room only at the Lindsay Rodeo. You remember the Rodeo’s of yesteryear when the rid- ers did not fall off their mounts. Shirley Crane was elected the
new Ontario Equestrian Federation president. Boy there was a woman who did it all and took no guff from anyone. Joanne Moorehouse of Sea-
grave, Ontario won the Pepsi Futu- rity, her mount was a 4 year old gelding Wind Lancer and took home $1,650.00. The event was held at Attica, New York. The All America Quarter

prospectus for a new type of invest- ment a limited partnership units in a herd of highly prized horses and their offspring. The offering was to raise 1.5 Million dollars on Straight Egyptian-Arabians. E. A. Manning Limited was handling the offering. The Ontario Paint Horse Club
returned to The Rider after a brief hiatus. Marlene Falsetti was the newsletter editor. Not sure where they have disappeared to now. Jim Everett Quarter Horses

excellent product. My Turn While the whole world is fight-
ing a trade war with China (Chine) I have been fighting my own war with China. I do my utmost not to buy anything from there. But alas that is almost impossible today, they have cornered the market on every- thing. If I were the PM I would sus- pend all immigration from China until our Canadians are released from those Hell Holes they call prisons. We upheld International law in arresting a Chinese business woman and they retaliate by arrest- ing Canadians on trumped up charges. Don’t have any illusions. The Chinese do like Canada, so much so the they are trying to take it from us. I have noticed that Lincoln
ended the commercials with the guy that had to have a new Lincoln every year. Sure Health is still using that annoying nose talker, every time it comes on I switch channel. I see that Grub Hub and Telus are still using the same jingle, but Telus have feebly changed their jingle using the same program, so it must be them that screwed up. As for our coming elections we
should be allowed to hear Maxine Bernier do his thingy, he is not the only Liberal to start a new party. Paul Hillier started a new party called Action Canada. It too fell by the wayside. We need to hear from Maxine. He has something to say about his association with the Lib- eral party of Canada. Thanks for looking down in
this corner. Aidan W. Finn CD

MAY 7, 1952 – JUNE 10, 2019 Obituary of John Arthur Bridge John suddenly passed on Monday, June 10, 2019
at the age of 67, while at MJM (Black’s) Equestrian, doing what he loved. John is predeceased by his dad Jack (1972), his sis-
ter Adrienne (2005), his daughter-in-law Lynsie (2017), and his mom Mabel (2019). John is survived by his beloved wife Patti, and his loved children Julie (Bill), Jaime (Steve), Ed (Elyse), and his darling grandchildren Mia, Logan, Ella, and Carter. He also leaves behind his loving sisters Chrissie (Harry), Val (Dean), and Marj (John). He was a well loved uncle and great-uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and always was interested in their lives. Proud godfather to Evan Arthur. Loved son- in-law of Bev Wilkinson and brother-in-law to Wendy (Dave), Kerry (Lucy), Kim (Patsy), Jim (Ute), and Bill (Beth). John was a true horseman with passion. Like his
dad before him, teaching youth and young horses was his favourite thing to do. He was respected and admired throughout the horse industry. He was a farrier, teacher, mentor, and friend to many. He will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life was held at Lone Tamarak
Arabians, in Haldimand, Ontario on Friday, June 14, 2019. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to “John Bridge Memorial Schol- arship” for a Roper in the Ontario High School Rodeo Association. If you would like to donate send an e trans- fer to
info@ohsra.ca. Please indicate “John Bridge Me- morial” on the e transfer, the family will also be collecting at John’s Celebration Of Life & Alvinston Rodeo or Toronto Sick Children’s Hospital. (Arrange- ments entrusted to Markey-Dermody Funeral Home). “You and Joe ride on Cowboy…”
