tragedy

struck the barn of Rose- Marie Huxted taking the lives of several horses. One of them, her highly compet- itive and incredibly hand- some stallion known as ‘Bullseye’. The tack, equip- ment and building all could be replaced but the loss of the horses was felt across the entire membership of OXC. OXC horses, Bulls- eye, Skyler, Miss Frosted Snip, and Spirit were now just a memory having com- peted just days before.

The extreme part of

our club name is often mis- understood. We are all proud to have consistently exhibited that we hold the standard of horsemanship to extreme horsemanship. The family connection is ex- treme and the camaraderie can and has been extreme. The extreme laughter, mem- ories and goodwill is unlike any other. We truly are a sport

that welcomes all levels of riders and types of horses. Our sport encourages great horsemanship thru working with your mount to com-

and The Capital Fair. The winners of the Intermediate, Non-Pro and Pro Divisions have also each received a ballot to win a saddle from

HR Saddlery & Tack and Ionsons Saddlery of Ches- ley. Top winners for these 3 divisions at these races were: Ellie Ross, Cheryl Hodgkin, Paige Swanson, Alanna Gibson, David Cowley, Jassen Phillips, Kim Ogilvie, Rosemarie Huxted, Kiah Marsh, and Destiny Peltonen. They all

receive a ballot to win the HR Saddle at our Annual General Meeting November 30th.

In September, OXC is

looking forward to races at Marmora Fair and Stormont County Fair. Then coming up in October on the OXC schedule, there are races at Roseneath Fair, Markham

Fair, Brigden Fair and Nor- wood Fair. Our OXC Provincial Finals will close out the month on October 25th and 26th in Ancaster. We hope to see you out
