SUMMER SIZZLER, Carp, Ontario

The Eastern Ontario Quarter

Horse Association embarked on the first ever 10 judge, split-combined AQHA Show Circuit held in Ontario combining their June and August cir- cuits into one. With help from Mother Nature’s great weather, a terrific group of SPONSORS, VOLUNTEERS, EX- HIBITORS, JUDGES and SHOW STAFF, The Hot Hot Sizzler Circuit show was well attended and enjoyed by all!

The show featured several great

exhibitor incentives; a $1,500 Trail Challenge, $750 Non-Pro Showman- ship Challenge, a NSBA $500 Non-Pro All Breed Hunter Under Saddle and a NSBA $500 Added Non-Pro All Breed Western Pleasure. As well they en- joyed Exhibitor Appreciation Awards that were presented throughout the show, Class Circuit Awards for each class, High Point All Around Awards for July 30 & 31 sponsored by Ray & Lise Laviolette of Circle R Saddlery and High Point All Around Awards for August 2-5 sponsored by A.C. Towing. EOQHA was honored to have the OQHA Queen, Ms. Heidi Nelson as- sisting with Award presentations. EOQHA offered its first ever on-

line auction where participants could bid online for a three-month span on their favourite items. The auction closed on August 1 and the highest bid- ders won their purchases. Thank you to the individuals and companies that donated to this great fundraiser! Exhibitors were treated to many

fun activities throughout the circuit. The 2018 Awards Banquet and Barbe- cue featured JED the Mechanical Bull which was attempted by young kids and adults alike. The Ontario Youth Quarter Horse Association hosted Fund Raising activities including the Flytrap, where 3 trainers including Kathryn Stanton, Tracey Patterson and Darci Rapley volunteered to be taped to a wall raising almost $400. The Youth also hosted the Youth Pleasure Barrel Race which was enjoyed by its specta- tors. The day off, Thursday, August 1, gave the Eastern Ontario Paint Horse Club the opportunity to offer a Double Judge Approved Paint Horse Show sharing the facilities and judges. Par- ticipants could show their double reg- istered horses as well as show in the All-Breed classes. EOQHA would like to thank the

Carp Fair Board for preparing the facil- ity and special mention to Doug Nor- ton, 2019 Carp Fair President, who worked very hard to prepare the NEW show pen footing and have it ready for our show. Finally, this great circuit was

made possible by our generous spon- sors, we cannot thank you enough for your generous support. In closing, don’t miss out booking
