League is thrilled to an- nounce its return to the Royal Canadian Riding Academy on October 18-19-20, 2019 to present the RAM Rodeo- Case IH Ultimate Rodeo Championship Finals. Lo- cated at 4252 Davis Drive, just east of Newmarket, the
RCRA is one of Canada’s premier multi-faceted all-sea- son equestrian facilities and will be a fantastic indoor venue to host for some ac- tion-packed rodeo competi- tion!
Over 500 cowboys and
cowgirls have competed all year for their chance qualify
and battle it out at the Champi- onships. The top competitor’s from this year’s RAM Rodeo & Case IH Ultimate Rodeo Tours will com- pete 3 days, head-to-head for a chance to win over $50,000 in combined prize money over the weekend. Fan’s will find themselves
close to the action, and a part of the show as they watch the action- packed sport of rodeo including standard rodeo events like barrel racing, saddlebronc and bareback riding, and the world’s toughest sport, bull riding! Doors open on Friday Octo-
ber 18h at 5:30pm, with the first championship performance start- ing at 7:00pm, and after the show all are welcome to join the com- petitors in the upstairs restaurant
for a meet and greet with competi- tors. Saturday the doors open at 2:30pm, with the second round of rodeo competition beginning at 4:30pm. Everyone is welcome to stay afterwards for a bite to eat and a few drinks with cowboys and cowgirls. Sunday wraps up the weekend with the final go with doors opening at 11:30am, and the final rodeo performance beginning at 1:00pm. This event is indoors with

Medication Control Committee
Ottawa, ON, Aug. 9, 2019 – Applications are now open for individuals interested in volunteering on the Equestrian Canada (EC) Equine Medication Control Committee in 2020. The Equine Medication Control Committee is an op-
erational committee of EC responsible for providing strategic guidance and counsel to management concerning the national medication control and anti-doping of horses program at EC sanctioned competition, as it relates to EC’s pursuit of indus- try best practice in clean sport, fair play and the welfare of competition horses. The Committee will work in collaboration with other
EC committees and management to deliver on its mandate. Specific responsibilities of the Committee include:
• Providing EC management with annual program priorities and strategies relating to medication control and anti-doping of horses in Canada; • Providing input and feedback to management concerning policies, programs, rules, regulations, and services related to its specific responsibilities; and, • Communicating with Provincial/Territorial Equestrian Sport Organizations (PTSOs), EC Committees, task forces, work- ing groups, EC Sport Licence Holders and the Canadian equestrian sport community at large as required on key ini- tiatives, developments, issues, challenges, and achievements in the Equine Medication Control program. EC is seeking committee members who are equine vet-
erinarians and/or non-veterinarian members with experience in competitions as an organizer and/or official, past competi- tor or coach. Committee members will be appointed by the EC
CEO. In appointing the members of the Committee, consid- eration shall be given to diversity, including national/inter- national knowledge and experience in equine medication and anti-doping, active practicing equine competition veterinari- ans, gender, regional, technical and linguistic balance.
