The premier Italian-American festival in the tri-state area is derived from a 600 year old festival in Italy, the Feast of the Madonna Dei Martiri. The highlight of the fest, beyond the variety of foods and days of entertainment, is the daylong religious procession on Sat, Sept 9. The procession runs through the streets of Hoboken, including a reenactment of the Blessing of the Fleet in the Hudson River, The fest culminates with a fireworks extravaganza.
