Abbas joins the employment team

Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is strengthening the services it offers to local businesses with the appointment of a new employment law expert. Abbas Khan has joined the firm to help employers and individuals

resolve a wide range of work-related issues. Having spent the last four years at Harrowells in York undertaking

general civil and commercial litigation, Abbas will now be specialising in employment law. He will be handling contentious and non-contentious matters for organisations of all sizes, under the guidance of Taylor&Emmet’s Department Head, Simon Brian. Abbas said: “I am really pleased to be returning to my home city to work for

a firm with such an excellent reputation for client care. I studied employment law at undergraduate and postgraduate level and have always been fascinated by the human aspect of the discipline. I am now looking forward to putting my knowledge to the test and building my reputation locally.” Abbas is no stranger to the Sheffield legal sector, having worked for two

firms in the city while completing his Legal Practice Course. Simon added: “Abbas is already proving to be a great addition to our

team. His experience as a commercial litigator has given him a solid grounding in business legal services and furnished him with a number of transferrable skills that will serve him well as he establishes himself as an employment law specialist.”
