The Business Awards gala dinners are among the highlights of the Chamber’s events calendar
Join the celebration at gala dinners
With the finalists for the Chamber’s prestigious Business Awards announced recently at the President’s Summer Reception, focus now turns to the three eagerly-anticipated gala dinners – three evenings of recognition, collaboration and celebration across the region. The Business Awards gala dinners brings
together businesses from across the region and beyond to promote the outstanding work which our region's businesses undertake every day. There will be 13 awards presented across a range
of categories, as well as the prestigious Business of the Year award. Winners of selected categories from the evening could go on to compete in the national British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) awards which take place in November.
There will be plenty of opportunity to meet
and network with finalists, valued sponsors and Chamber staff during the drinks reception and throughout the evening. The evening will also feature entertainment
and a three-course meal and is a great chance for businesses to reward their staff for their achievements and celebrate their success. Member companies can purchase tickets for
£85, or make a saving if booking a table of ten (£800).

Food and Drink Forum takes a bite out of Chesterfield
Skills, recruitment and marketing were top of the agenda for the brand new Chesterfield Food and Drink Forum, which was recently launched by Chamber affiliate Destination Chesterfield. The new forum builds on the continued success
of the annual Chesterfield Food and Drink Awards and is designed to further raise the profile of the town’s thriving food and drink sector. Open to Chesterfield Champions, the group
will meet twice a year and has been established to encourage a closer working relationship between businesses operating within the sector. It aims to support business growth by
providing access to training and development
and signposting to local business advisers. The inaugural event was attended by a number of representatives, including from Chamber members Casa Hotel and Brampton Brewery. It was chaired by Laura Ashby and Richard Alsop from Edge Events, the company behind the Chesterfield Food Festival, and included information for local producers from the Food and Drink Forum. Peter Swallow, Destination Chesterfield Chair,
said: “Chesterfield’s food and drink scene is thriving as evidenced by the annual Food and Drink Awards that have grown year on year since their launch in 2012. Launching the Forum was the

next step in bringing together the many individuals and businesses that operate in the sector.” If you are a business operating within
Chesterfield’s food and drink sector and would like to attend the next meeting in November, call 01246 207207 or email
