MOLSON COORS TO BRING LICENSEES EVEN BIGGER DISCOUNTS ON SKY SPORTS

new beer launch in the last five years; and Open Gate Pilsner and Open Gate Citra IPA into the mix. Molson Coors’ broad range of beers and ciders includes, Carling, the UK’s number one lager brand, Coors Light, the fastest growing beer in the top 10 and Doom Bar, the UK’s number one cask ale.

Diageo On-Trade Director, Melissa Yorke, says: “Diageo is committed to supporting the On-Trade and we’re really excited to launch this new partnership with Sky and Molson Coors. Guinness has a long-standing relationship with sport, in particular rugby, and we know how valuable screening live sport can be for the pub. We are sure that this partnership will make it more accessible for outlets to benefit from this.”

Frank Atkinson, Sales and Commercial Director at Sky Business, says: “With Diageo joining the Sky and Molson Coors Partnership, new and existing customers can now enjoy even bigger savings and even more choice, serving up more of the sports and drinks that matter most to their customers. We’re delighted to welcome Diageo on board, giving licensees the opportunity to unlock extra discounts of up to 20% off their Sky bill, taking the total discount available up to 50%.”

Currently, licensees are rewarded with up to a 30% discount off the cost of Sky Sports if they stock and sell six kegs across three Molson Coors brands weekly. But, with the addition of Diageo to the partnership, pubs and bars are now eligible for up to a 50% discount, if they also stock and sell four kegs across three Diageo brands, assuming a minimum one keg per brand. Other discounts are based on the volume and variety of Diageo products taken each week.

Launched in July, the discount deal offers existing customers the chance to unlock the profit opportunity that comes with screening live sport, with the offer also extended to new customers from September. Diageo brings an exciting range of brands, including Guinness, the fastest growing of the top three beers in Great Britain; Hop House 13, the biggest

Martyn Cozens, On-Trade Sales Director at Molson Coors, says: “It’s fantastic to see our partnership with Sky Sports continuing to grow. We set out on this path with Sky six years ago to bring something different and of real tangible value to the On-Trade and it’s been a tremendous success. Earlier this year we relaunched the deal to give more flexibility, more choice and greater savings to licensees, with Diageo joining the partnership that proposition is strengthened even more.”
