Expert Opinion

Samtouch Hospitality Solutions’ have a solid reputation for innovative product design and reliability and has been developed from the ground up with over 30 years’ experience in the Point of Sale industry.

The hospitality landscape is constantly evolving with a distinct shift in recent years towards Cloud based software for both traditional terminals and tablet POS solutions with all the benefits the latter provides in terms of flexibility.

Samtouch turnkey solution provides the most resilient approach to your point of sale solution offering localised POS front-end operation with the added benefit of cloud- based back-office, reducing the initial outlay in hardware and providing real-time product maintenance and management reporting wherever you have an internet connection.

Unlike other POS software solution providers’, Samtouch does not need continual access to a cloud-based server. It operates independent of any external software and will operate seamlessly during service if connection to the internet is unavailable.

In terms of functionality, Samtouch provides all the features for a wide range of sectors within the hospitality industry. Each sector has its own unique requirements whether it be a country public house, take-away or fine dining establishment, all sectors can rest assured that Samtouch has the flexibility and best practise operations built-in to instill efficiency throughout your operations.

EFT SOLUTIONS Unlike the majority of online Point of Sale system provider’s Samtouch has been developed from our vast knowledge in the EPOS technology industry and not from the payment processing technology industry.

That’s why our systems offer a higher level of flexibility to adapt to the majority of business processes, but at the same time provides best practise operations.

All that said, we partner with the top card processing providers’ in the UK, offering a transparent and seamless integration between you POS and EFT solutions.

Whether you wish to take payment at the front desk or at the table, Samtouch offers a solution that will meet your needs.

INTEGRATION We believe that integration with third party applications is key to building a complete and successful solutions for our customers. Some of our current integrations include Xero (Accounting), Mobo2go (Online Take-Away Ordering System), Resident Pro (Hotel Reservations), Resdiary (Table Booking), Avenista (Table Reservations), Deputy (Employee Scheduling), just to name a few.

WHAT’S NEW Our system developer’s work tirelessly adding further integrations and specification to our already feature rich POS solution. A couple of the latest features include:

FOOD ALLERGY INFORMATION As a food business, you must follow the allergen information rules set out in the EU Food Information for Consumer’s Regulation (EU FIC), providing allergen information to the consumer.

Samtouch has functionality to allow you to enter details about any of the 14 allergens into each ingredient or menu item and at the press of a button the operator can enquire if a menu item has any ingredient that contains any allergen.

This in itself doesn’t cover the full remit of the regulations but is a simple and effective tool to advise the customer quickly and efficiently.
