Raising the Bar A key feature, the buzzing Discovery Zone provides a platform where visitors can seek out 200 trend-led and forward- thinking fledgling brands. Discover a new type of beer from Binary Botanical (stand 4806)—an infusion of organic hop leaves which gives a prosecco-like flavour to a light refreshing beer—perfect paired with food. Using fruit surplus to help fight food waste, Urban Cordial (stand 4939) will showcase its range of low sugar cordials made from British ingredients. InViaEmilia (stand 4530) will also be sampling its new Sparkling White Wine obtained from an ancient grape called Spergola and a sensational Rosé made with 100% Lambrusco.
Premium mixer sales reached £323.1m in the year to April 2019. Capitalise on this trend with innovative brands including Lixir Tonics (stand 4702) all-natural flavoured tonics. Jeffrey’s Tonic (stand 4945) showcases its new mixer concept—a range of syrups made with natural ingredients, developed as the ideal serving partner for sparkling water gin, cocktails and mocktails.

The steady rumble of rum continues with the number of brands increasing fourfold since 2016 from 50, to nearly 200 and accounting for £1bn worth of sales. Discover Belgrove Hazelnut Rum (stand 3008), single-origin pure Demerara rum infused with notes of toasted hazelnut, Madagascan vanilla and undertones of chocolate. New brand Redvulette (stand 4636) will sample its lower ABV concept— Redvulette Rum Punch—authentic white rum blended with fresh topical juices.
Exhibitors pioneering the ‘low and no’ category, driven by 33% of consumers who are reducing their alcohol consumption, include St Peter’s Brewery (stand 1120B) with its range of traditional brews including stouts, porters, ales, lagers including alcohol free and organic beers.
MoMo Kombucha (stand 4955 Discovery Zone) are at the forefront of the alcohol alternative sector with its low sugar soft kombucha drink that is good for the gut and a fantastic alternative to alcohol. Available in three flavours: Ginger-Lemon, Turmeric and Tropical.
