We catch up with Rikki Constantinou and Charlie Takhar at Ice Entertainments — London’s leading supplier of entertainment products and services to the UK leisure and hospitality industry.
Straight in at the deep end then. Why should a venue choose Ice Entertainments when looking for products to enhance their event or set-up in general?
RIKKI: We started this ‘show’ 12 years ago and we are still here, so we must be doing something right! I think our knowledge and experience within the industry plays a huge part in our

success and is the reason why our clients still choose us. We do not just sell one type of product; we offer a variety of different products that suit different venues and different needs. We engage our clients and offer advice and support on which products would work for them and help them execute their ideas and concepts correctly.
What makes you guys different from other providers of sophisticated and unique entertainment products out there?
RIKKI: The two main reasons that set us apart from our competition is that we do not just look to supply venues. Instead, we look to build business relationships and we never

get complacent. Some of our clients have been with us for over 10 years and relationships like these are rare to come by in such a cut throat industry.
CHARLIE: To build on what Rikki has said. We also never stop looking for that next new and exciting product to bring to the UK market. We are always visiting different venues both domestically and internationally to get new and innovative ideas.
How has the hospitality and leisure industry changed during the time you guys have been supplying it?
RIKKI: Like I said before, we have been doing this for 12 years now and at the very beginning, things were different to how they are now. By this I mean, we originally started with the Ice Fountain that was introduced to help venues upsell their premium champagne bottles - now we have over 200 products. Times have changed and so have people! We live in a day and age where social media is a massive influence. People want to impress and stand out and that’s what we help venues and individuals achieve. Therefore, the changes I have seen have only been positive and beneficial for our business, which is a great thing!
CHARLIE: I have not be doing this as long (approaching my third year now) and I have noticed a change in the industry too. Nowadays the trends set by the USA are leading the way. Everybody wants new and unique products to help stand out, so that is exactly what we work extremely hard to try to do.
