Village fete hit by weather
AFTERmonths of hardwork, Hollingbourne fete committee drewthe curtains on showday to torrential rain. A faithful few braved rain and winds at the 1pmopening by JimFindlayMBE, and some
arena events had to be cancelled. But by 2pm, the sun came out, brining people to the- Lance Memorial Playing Field. Unfortunately, heavy rain returned, with the event ending early. Next year’s event is scheduled for June 6.
