Summer 2019 Welcome to the summer issue of FundEd magazine.
A key element of education is about equipping children for the world beyond the classroom – and building meaningful links with your local community is an important part of this. Here at FundEd we’re very focused on how developing community engagement can enrich your school, and we hope to inspire you with ideas and advice.
Our cover feature (p15) explores the benefi ts of employing a fundraiser (typically part-time to work alongside a SBM) to generate income and build productive relationships with businesses and the wider community. We also look at how you can harness the wealth of people skills and goodwill on your doorstep for free (p22).
