ntil recently, fundraising was seen as an ‘add-on’ to the role of school business manager (SBM). But SBMs have a myriad of other responsibilities, and many


schools are recognising the necessity of focusing more on income generation. The Harris Academy Trust of 47 secondary and primary schools


recently appointed a fundraiser charged with raising £500,000 a year.
