Fort Worth Dressage Club News


The Fort Worth Dressage Club (FWDC) is a club devoted


to dressage and dressage activities for its members. We work throughout the year to provide educational opportunities and fun activities for our members. Our Recognized show was March 23 and 24 at Somervell


Expo in Glen Rose. We offered Intro through Grand Prix plus Freestyles. We had a great turnout and even had to call in an extra judge! Our judges were Thomas Poulin and Axel Steiner – both well known in the dressage community. Show manage- ment, judges and TD all commented on what a well run show we held and the great volunteers. We offered volunteers and ex- hibitors a catered dinner Friday evening, and had special awards for High Points in Junior/Young Rider, Adult Amateur,


and

plans for 2019 in- clude a low cost clinic in May at Four

Farm in Valley View, a dressage schooling show at Willow Draw in Weatherford in June, our annual Pool party and Education day sometime this summer, and our annual Adult Camp planned for October. FWDC holds monthly meetings at Szechuan Chinese


Restaurant off Bryant Irving the 4th Monday of every month at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome. Other ways to keep in touch with us is through group e-mails that we send out to our mem- bers. These emails contain our club activities and well as other dressage events happening in our community. Do you want to add an event?
