done for the facilities records as well as the owners’ piece of mind. “One of the most important things I do
that first day is a Personality Evaluation,” adds Katie. “This is very important in determining stall and later hauling placement. I have found that horses are more content if they like their neighbors.” One of the things that sets Equiflight apart
from other transportation companies is the quarantine care: • offering multiple stabling options in-
cluding small private paddocks, foaling size stalls or show stalls with private runs; • stabling horses flying together in view
of each other; • providing turn-out every day, weather
permitting; • committing to provide clear communi-
cation with the owner from arrival day to des- tination.

Schedules for the flight and transportation to the airport are confirmed. “Once everything is finalized, I start
packing supplies for the trip,” explains Ka- tie. “I also send the schedule and review the horse(s) placement, care and personality with the Animal Attendant.”
