The Aggie Super Circuit, held March 28-31 at Brazos

AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse winners were Jeremy Cox (Open/Nic It In The Smarts), Samantha Beck (Am/Poco Muchacho Doc), S. Lynn Walker (Am-Ltd/Gunner Got Out), and Taylor Mar- shall (Youth-Ltd/WR Paddy Cat). The next show is June 1-2.

The Equine Disease Communication Center (EDCC)


reported on April 8 that the Texas Animal Health Commis- sion (TAHC) had confirmed cases of equine infections ane- mia (EIA) in Smith and Van Zandt counties. In each county, a Quarter Horse tested positive for EIA in March, and both affected horses were euthanized. Per the EDCC, each ani- mal’s home premises “will remain under quarantine until re- quirement for release have been met. TAHC staff is working closely with owners and veterinarians to monitor potentially exposed horses and implement biosecurity measures.”
