Welcome to the What’s On Guide 2019 — full of events and attractions for you to visit throughout the year
There is something for everyone from places to go and dates not to be missed! This annual publication shows what Tavistock, Okehampton and the surrounding villages have to offer for their residents and visitors alike.
This year will see the ever popular Okehampton Show, now in its 112th year, Tavistock and Okehampton carnivals, Okehampton’s Edwardian Evening and Tavistock Goose Fair and Dickensian Evening which are firm favourites with people from West Devon and further afield.
Within this magazine there is a special feature on Tavistock Pannier Market and a five page events listing, including a food festival for Okehampton, regular farmers and arts markets, The Son Rise cup and many local community events.
We have featured a wealth of attractions for all ages, with many suggestions for family days out. Plus, in this guide we have a list of local B&Bs and places for you and your family, or visiting friends and family, to stay.
The year 2019 will draw to a close with the Edwardian Evening, Okehampton and the atmospheric Dickensian Evening in Tavistock, which is also host to the spectacular Christmas Tree Festival held in the town’s St Eustachius’ Church.
