IT’S just the ticket for a fabulous day out — a trip on the South Devon Railway is a fantastic train journey that will take you steaming back in time and in 2019, the South Devon Railway is celebrating its 50th anniversary since reopening as a heritage railway, so do come along.


Head straight for Buckfastleigh’s main station, and you’ll find a fascinating museum, riverside walk, picnic area and lots more. With free car parking, this is a great place to start your return journey to Totnes Riverside. If you’re travelling from Totnes, the SDR station is a 500 yard walk from the main line station. For a really varied day, the great value ‘Three Great Attractions, One Amazing Day’ joint tick- ets are available for the railway plus the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm, Dartmoor Otters and/or Buckfast Butterflies.
