Tavistock Festival
THIS year’s 17th Tavistock Festival takes place from Wednesday, April 24 to May 8 with a broad programme of music and arts events that caters for all tastes and interests. This year will see a performance by the legendary King’s Singers
at Tavistock Parish Church on May 8 and a wealth of talks, walks, recitals, workshops, concerts and exhibitions. President of the festival Andrew Wilson said: ‘The beautiful town
of Tavistock is always an inspiring place both for its own inhabitants and the many visitors that come every year to soak up its unique atmosphere.
‘Whether it is the bustle of its shops and market, the romance of history in the parish church and the abbey ruins or the wild grandeur of the River Tavy that attract you, there is no better way to complement your appreciation of the town than to immerse yourself in the delights of the Tavistock Festival.
‘The festival brings together the very best in performers and artists from the South West and way beyond to celebrate this special town’s rich heritage.
