Temporary Contract: Part Time Area Co-ordinator for West Kent 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020) with possible permanent extension. Location: Office based in Lenham covering Maidstone, Tonbridge & Malling, Tunbridge Wells & Sevenoaks. Salary: £17,290 (pro rata part time) Mileage at 40p per mile. Working Hours: 21 hrs per week (working days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

You will be joining a small team responsible to the Manager. The role will involve supporting and managing client referrals in the West Kent area, including triaging and allocating case work to your team of volunteers to visit and support an older person with an issue, which could be benefits support, housing/council issue, or simply providing a voice to ensure their views are listened to. The work is varied and interesting and as part of the role you also undertake your own case work. You will be the first point of contact for your volunteers, acting as their sounding board and training partner. There is some networking, raising the profile of CROP and support in recruiting new volunteers. As part of the team you will be fully supported with on-going training throughout your journey with CROP.

Do you have time on your hands? From learning new skills, being active and meeting new people, there are loads of great reasons to start volunteering at ‘The Loveliest Castle in the World.’


We recognise that there are many people who live locally and have spare time that they would like to dedicate to volunteering at Leeds Castle. We have developed a Volunteer Programme which could enable you to get involved with the Castle and make a real difference. Whether this is by supporting our visitors alongside our Visitor Operations Team, working with our Garden Team to maintain our beautiful gardens or helping the Falconry Team and Wildlife Team to look after the birds of prey and wildfowl across the estate, we have a volunteer opportunity suitable for you.


We understand that your time is precious and whether you can contribute a full or half day of your time each week, we will work with you to make sure you to get the most out of your experience with us.
