Green your clean: a natural approach to a clean home


I have a love-hate relationship with clean- ing. I love a clean, organised home but I hate to be the one doing the cleaning – I haven’t quite mastered the concept of a house cleaner yet, either. All my friends that have a house cleaner are always cleaning in preparation for the cleaner to come. I don’t get it. Why are they are so stressed out about cleaning for the cleaner? It seems like way too much work to have my home prepared at a specific


time each week for someone else to come in and clean the house I just cleaned for them. I know I am missing a piece of the puzzle on that one, but it leaves me with no other option but to clean the house myself.


Which leads me to my next cleaning complaint. The products. You can read countless news reports and blogs about the dangers of every day cleaners. From phthalates to triclosan, it often feels the


products we are using to clean our homes are more hazardous than the dirt and germs we are trying to get rid of.


My solution? I make my own.


Before you roll your eyes at me, let me say I am not a DIY queen. If it’s not easy, odds are it’s just a fantasy on my Pinterest board. If I can do it, you can do it, too.
