UCB enjoys postion in Parliamentary Review


A Chesterfield manufacturer has been featured in a Parliamentary Review on Government policy involving the manufacturing and services sector. United Cast Bar (UCB),


Europe’s largest manufacturer of continuously cast iron bar, is one of only 16 companies from the metals, materials and fabrication sector to be included in the annual review. With a foreword written by


Prime Minister Theresa May, the review has been sent to more than 500,000 leading business executives, policy makers and other relevant individuals. James Brand, Managing


Director of United Cast Bar (UK), said: “Being included in the Parliamentary Review is a great opportunity to put UCB’s name in front of both key politicians and industry representatives. “Brexit has created an


uncertain climate for the sector in which UCB operates, but I am positive about the future. I personally see it as an opportunity for the company. We manufacture great products in this country and there has been a shift, both at home and abroad, towards buying British.”


Impressive accolade for Hallam Internet


Nottingham-based digital marketing firm Hallam Internet has been named the best- performing agency in the East Midlands and number 33 nationally in The Drum Top 100 Independent Agencies list. Hallam’s high ranking is due


to impressive performance in six categories of financial metrics: turnover, turnover growth, turnover percentage growth, turnover per head, gross profit and gross profit growth. The Drum also reviewed client satisfaction scores to judge which agencies are delivering the greatest value for their customers. The accolade rounds off a


successful growth year on multiple fronts for Hallam. The increase in new clients adds up to almost £1m in revenue in 2018 and surpassed £3m for the year - a rise of 24% compared to 2017. Hallam MD Stuart Ross said: “Being included in The Drum Top 100 Independent Agencies 2018 as the highest placing agency in the East Midlands caps off an excellent year of growth for Hallam Internet, and highlights the increasing number of clients who trust us to help deliver digital marketing that gets results.”
