Flooring firm in charity sponsorship
Designer Contracts – the UK’s largest flooring contractor – has supported one of the country’s leading children’s charities, ChildLine, by sponsoring its services for one day. The counselling service

Fundraising to benefit member charities
Three charities have been named as beneficiaries of fundraising efforts by the Chamber in 2019, as announced by Chamber President Kevin Harris. They are CHICKS, SkillForce and
Twenty Twenty, all three of which work to improve the lives of children and young people. At this year’s Christmas Lunch,
each will receive an equal share of £1,932.31 raised at the 2018 event in addition to any other money raised
by the Chamber’s efforts throughout the year. The three charities nominated
last year - Rhubarb Farm, Leicester and Leicestershire Animal Aid and Hope Against Cancer – have each received a one-third share of £3,615. The Chamber’s charity activities
are managed by the East Midlands Chamber Charitable Fund, set up in 2016 and administered by the Leicestershire and Rutland

Nottingham Playhouse has raised more than £10,000 for its 70th Anniversary Fund, following a gala performance of its critically-acclaimed show The Madness of George III and a 70th birthday auction. Having celebrated its platinum

recently named in the Business Reporter’s Best of British Campaign, which recognises success stories in British business. The accolade was awarded to just ten companies in the UK.
Pattonair volunteers answer ‘DIY SOS’ call
A team of volunteers from aerospace supply chain specialist Pattonair have put their DIY skills to the test by completing a fast- paced transformation of a local charity’s new HQ. The Derby-based firm took part
in the DIY SOS-style challenge for Headway Derby, by helping to renovate its new Brain Injury Hub. The 56 volunteers spent two
