Graham takes key role at football club


Graham Bean (pictured) has been named as Chesterfield FC’s new Chief Executive. Graham


said: “I am delighted to be joining Chesterfield FC in such an important role. I am looking forward to the challenge of helping the club progress and working for the good of all, including the supporters. This is a good club and hopefully together we can move it forward. “I believe I have some unique


credentials because not only have I worked in senior roles within professional clubs and understand the workings of a club I have also had a spell as national Chairman of the Football Supporters Association. “This is an exciting opportunity and I am grateful to the owner and directors for giving me the chance to serve the club.”


Expansion for growing learning provider


Chesterfield-based Learning Unlimited has expanded its team with two new appointments. Business Development


Consultant Rachael Wood and Partnership Account Officer Molly Wilkins have joined the team that provides apprentices, training and development plans to businesses across the country.


Rachael will be working with


employers to help them recruit the right apprentices. She brings more than nine years’ experience providing support to employers across Sheffield and Leeds city regions. Molly comes from a customer-


service-focused background and will be responsible for assisting with organising and recruiting apprentices for employers and directly involved in employer and learner engagement. Rachael said: “I’m looking


forward to working with businesses to help them recruit the right apprentices for their business and helping employers recruit, train and develop their current teams and guide them through their training needs to develop succession planning.” Molly added: “I am really


looking forward to a new challenge and learning all about the comprehensive apprenticeship provision that Learning Unlimited offers. The team has been so welcoming and I can’t wait to get stuck into my new role.”

Sajeeda takes the reins as D2N2 Chief Executive


A new Chief Executive Officer has been appointed by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership. Sajeeda Rose, formerly Interim


CEO at the D2N2 LEP, becomes CEO following a robust recruitment process. As the LEP’s CEO Sajeeda leads


a small team supporting the D2N2 Board to promote an economic growth plan for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. D2N2 is a private sector-led


partnership of business, local authorities, higher and further education providers and community and voluntary organisations, using resources of more than £500m in funding derived from the UK Government and European Union. Sajeeda joined the D2N2 LEP in


November 2017, as Senior Manager for Growth Deals and Capital Programmes, and acted as Interim Deputy CEO before taking on the Interim CEO role in September 2018.


Prior to joining D2N2, Sajeeda


was Chief Operating Officer for the Northamptonshire LEP, where she was responsible for strategy development and delivery of all investment programmes by that LEP. She also worked for the former East Midlands Development Agency, supporting the delivery of sub-regional investment programmes.


Sajeeda Rose Sajeeda said: “I am delighted to


be appointed as the D2N2 LEP’s new CEO and to have the opportunity to build on the great work of its Board and staff to date. “The LEP has a lot to do in the


future. We have a new strategic plan to launch to take our economy


into the next decade, a Local Industrial Strategy to develop to complement the work being done nationally, increasing access to skills and training, and ensuring we continue to attract private investment to Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.”


Senior promotions at law firm


Law firm Shakespeare Martineau has announced the latest round of senior promotions, including two new associates in the East Midlands. Amy Cotterill (pictured) has


been promoted to Associate within the firm’s real estate team in Nottingham and Adam Wright (also pictured) in the volume and consumer business team in Leicester. Elsewhere in the firm, new legal


directors include three from within the firm’s real estate teams, including Samantha Clancy, Hannah Alexander and Afsor Ullah. Additionally, Cem Usten has also been promoted to Legal Director in the London office’s corporate and commercial team.


Other associates promoted


across the firm include Saran Dullay, Afreen Mehdi and Meriel O’Laughlin in real estate and Sneha Nainwal, who will continue


her work in the litigation and dispute resolution team. Helen Hay, Head of HR at
