EVENT IN FOCUS CHAMBER ANNUAL DINNER

Want to know what’s happening in the world of technology? Gadget Show host and futurologist Jason

Bradbury is the man to ask and will be one of the guest speakers at this year’s Chamber annual black- tie dinner. In addition to his TV work, Jason is a lecturer on

the University of Lincoln’s Product Design courses. With enthusiasm and a constant flow of ideas, he

takes his audience on a whirlwind tour of the history of technology, how we got to where we are and how the pace of change continues to increase. He explores themes such as the exponential

advances in digital technology and how computers will be so integral to the world around us that they will cease to be seen as objects in themselves. As well as being a student of ‘all things tech’,

Jason likes to build things, from hoverboards through robots to mind-reading devices, and frequently illustrates his presentations with them, surprising and engaging audiences as well as making them think.

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND? The Chamber’s annual black-tie Annual Dinner provides inspiration and opportunity to delegates in equal measure. The evening is overwhelmingly business-centric, offering recognition of the successes of business, by business. With high-quality dining, nationally-

acclaimed entertainment and stunning surroundings, the Annual Dinner offers the chance to share an evening with some of the region and nation’s leading business professionals and influencers. This flagship event brings together Chamber members of all sizes, sectors and locations, with a favourable rate per ticket compared with non-members.

Being held just eight days before the 29 March

Brexit deadline, the other speaker at the dinner will be a yet-to-be-announced high-ranking politician who will, hopefully, be able to shed a little bit more light on what the economic future will be following the UK’s divorce from the EU. The Annual Dinner is the pinnacle of events

organised by East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire), the British Chambers of Commerce Chamber of the Year Award winner. It takes place this year at Colwick Hall, Nottingham, from 6.30pm to 11pm on 21 March. Limited tickets are still available. Prices are

£90+VAT for members or £120+VAT for non- members, with discounts for tables of ten. Sponsors already signed up for this year’s Annual

Dinner include Frame Fast, RDS, the Ministry of Defence, The Dairy, Print Digital Media, Farmer and Carlise Toyota and Great Coaching Matters.
