JOKES & Humor #4

Did you hear about the auto body shop that just opened? It comes highly wreck-a-mended. ~

Have you heard of that new band “1023 Mega- bytes”? They’re pretty good, but they don’t have a gig just yet.

Spectacular citrus displays, carnival thrills and live shows February 15-18

Cloverdale, CA. ~ A wide va- riety of family entertainment is planned for the upcoming President’s Day Weekend. The community supported Cloverdale Citrus Fair kicks off the Fair Season in Cali- fornia showcasing its spectac- ular citrus fruit displays and honoring the citrus belt that was once part of the Northern Sonoma County landscape. The theme this year is

“Making of America”. Guests are invited to a star-spangled celebration highlighting the people, ideas and events that built our nation. Speckled throughout the fairgrounds, historical exhibits will be on display including a Ford Model T exhibit; antique mo- torcycles; a collection of old farm tractors and a model of the Wright Flyer. Butler Amusements will

return for the 41st year with thrilling rides such as the Rap- tor, Super Shot Drop Tower and Monkey Maze. The Out- door Stage will feature great local entertainment all four days including the party band Funky Dozen and the Poynt- lyss Sistars Rockin’ Show. All new is a “Go West” themed Kids Zone. Little adventurers can take reins on the frontier panning for golden treasures.

Dr. Goodjohn’s Magical Med- icine Show will be perform- ing on the Gold Rush Stage, bringing laughter for all ages. The true works of art at the Citrus Fair are spectacular three-dimensional citrus ex- hibits, primarily covered with citrus fruit and food products. The Livestock Area brings 4-H, FFA, Grange and In- dependent exhibitors com- peting in Junior rabbit, cavy, poultry, pygmy goat and dog care shows. Families will also enjoy the Friendly Farm Ag-Venture which brings guests up close and personal to fuzzy farm friends. Friday is Senior Day at the

Fair. Senior’s 62 and over receive free gate admission. Susan Comstock Swingtet will perform classic 1940’s jazz and blues on the Outdoor Stage.

Saturday is Parade Day.

The Annual Citrus Fair parade kicks off from Downtown Cloverdale at 11:00 am. Sunday of the Fair is Family Day. Mariachi Barragán is performing on the Outdoor Stage along with Ballet Folk- lorico Ireri. Also happening Sunday is the Annual Talent Show, “Cloverdale’s Got Tal- ent”.
