Our vision
To enhance East Midlands businesses What we do
THE GO TO PLACE FOR ANSWERS IN BUSINESS.
which place the Chamber at the heart of the evolving business support landscape.
The Chamber also strived to ensure that some of these services will transcend the UK’s exit from the European Union, at least in the short to medium term. While the Chamber portfolio remains broad to
support the diverse nature of its membership, this has been further refined to reflect the needs of 21st Century business, with expanded services, particularly in regard to an International Trade membership service.
In 2018-19 the Chamber will continue its focus on supporting the competitiveness of its members. This includes through its business support work,
such as helping members to access and prepare for supply-chain opportunities arising from HS2 Phase 1 between London and Birmingham, and through helping shape future opportunities that come forward through its lobbying and representation activity. The Chamber also started its own programme of digital transformation in regard to replacing both its website and customer relationship management system. Both of these solutions were delivered in 2018-2019.
2018-2019 is a year of ‘Brexit preparedness’ – ensuring that Chamber members have access to a portfolio of support services that provide the latest information to allow informed decisions to be made in regard to their 2019-2020 business planning process.
