From the Executive Director Lisa Hinton

It’s hard to believe that most of

our Florida Fall Fairs have already finished! We hope you all had a great season. Since our Convention in May, it’s

been a busy few months…. We had another great Florida

Fair trip – Fair Trip 2018 to the California State Fair! It was a short but GREAT trip! Be sure to read the article on the Fair Trip in this issue! We had a great Summer Workshop in Plant City hosted

by the Florida Strawberry Festival. A special thanks to EMC Tickets and Belle City Amusements for co-sponsoring the fabulous dinner in conjunction with the Strawberry Festival. If you haven’t been to Summer Workshop you should think about it for next year. It is a chance to really get to meet and talk to people from other Fairs in a very relaxed, infor- mal atmosphere. AND, we added some “fun” – be sure to see the article in this issue! AND we held our 2018 Fall Fair Trip to the Georgia Na-

tional Fair in Perry, GA. WOW! What an awesome Fair! If you haven’t been there you really should go. Read the arti- cle in this issue and see all the things you missed! This year’s Annual Directory has been published and dis-

tributed. A special thanks to Doris Graska, Newsletter Chairman and a past Federation President– she spent a tremendous amount of time editing the directory. Thanks also to Rita DeMier Lincoln and Andrea Simeone with the South Florida Fair for doing the layout for the cover with this year’s Photo Contest winners, to Bill Olson with the Greater Jacksonville Ag Fair for printing the membership cards, and Elaine Miller for all her work compiling the memberships and drafting the document. The Directory wouldn’t have happened without help from all of them! Be sure to mark your calendars for the 2018 Convention –

May 16– 18th at the Renaissance World Golf Village in St. Augustine. The Convention Program Committee under the guidance of Chairman Bill Olson is planning some new and exciting changes for this year’s Convention. If there is anything I can do for you – please don’t hesitate

to give me a call and thanks again for all your support! Don’t forget –YOU are the Federation and our organization is

here to serve you! Going to the IAFE Convention?

Please share your plans with Lisa so that she can keep you up to date on what others are doing so you can be included.
