THE BUZZ Maine Botanical Clinic Now Open


he Maine Botanical Clinic opens its doors to any person who would like to incorporate plant remedies into their lifestyle. The Clinic provides accessible plant-based care and guidance in partnership with the client, honoring the client’s experience and the body’s inherent ability to heal while supporting the journey to vital well-being.

The Clinic is currently open during the last Thursday of each month from 4:00 – 6:00pm at 84 Cove Street in the East Bayside neighborhood of Portland, sharing space with Milk and Honey Café and Taproot Magazine. The Clinic is donation-based and sliding-scale, with no one turned away for lack of funds.


The six practitioners who rotate through the clinic offer teas, tinctures, glycerines and/or vinegars when preparing a protocol for the client. An initial visit to the clinic includes a consultation with a practitioner which can be expected to last between 60 and 90 minutes. Follow-up appointments are approximately an hour in length. A range of concerns can be addressed during this time. Each practitioner has their own specialty (digestive support, respiratory support, reproductive support, musculoskeletal support, nervous system support) and the Clinic will match the client to a practitioner.


Each practitioner at the Maine Botanical Clinic has been


incorporating herbs into their lives for over ten years and many of the herbs in the Clinic have been harvested locally or prepared directly by the practitioners in the Clinic.


Currently, the Maine Botanical Clinic does not have interpreters, though hopes to in future months. If you are interested in volunteering or coming in for a session with a practitioner, please contact them at:
