Words have yet to be created to express the love we


have for our children. Most parents would gladly give their life for the health and well being of their child. But imagine having that kind of love for your baby and literally being forced to watch them slowly die of


starvation. Imagine not having any way to change the situation and feeling a despair and hopelessness many of us will only ever read about. Can your mind even go to that place? To see pleading eyes looking into your soul, begging to be saved, and to have nothing to offer them in return. I would have a very hard time grasping how this is a reality for so many, had I not seen it firsthand.


The change at the top of this page equals the cost of one day of child sponsorship. A sponsor giving 84 cents a day can provide a girl like this with food, clothing, medical care, and an education.


Many will say we have children here in the USA going to bed hungry. They would be right, and WME assists with those needs as well. But hunger in other countries is like nothing most have or ever will experience. Swollen, worm infested bellies on precious children whose parents have no money for food, much less health care. Many of those children have lost at least one parent to disease, and they are left behind to suffer the same fate. It’s a vicious cycle that seems impossible for them to break.
