Decades ago, because of the devastation left behind after a massive earthquake, WME began its work in Nicaragua. As we were establishing programs to care for orphans, a Civil War exploded, and our facilities were caught in the middle. After years of violence and destruction, Nicaragua rose from the ashes. World Missionary Evangelism was there to help lift up children and families facing poverty.


Worried and frightened children are everywhere.


We believed those days marked by violence and upheaval were behind us, but in the summer of 2018, the unthinkable
