Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:22
Perhaps like no other time of the year, during the cool days of fall, when the first hints of winter creep into our world, we turn our eyes to the heavens. As life slows down and the days grow shorter, we who have been blessed often stop, pause, and offer thanks. Yet in many places, where life is harsh and unforgiving, people look toward these same skies and cry out in pain and desperation. For almost sixty years, we at World Missionary Evangelism have been hearing the cries and trying to respond to the needs.
One of the ways our supporters and donors have helped transform communities is through the construction of churches and the drilling of water wells. Right now there are many who are praying that we can help them by bringing light to the darkness and water to those who thirst.
In developing nations, there is a great need for Christian churches. So when a community has a church, it becomes far more than just a place to gather one or two times a week for worship. It is a beacon that draws people everyday. In so many places where we serve, churches provide day care for working mothers and vocational training for the unskilled. They also host Bible seminars, Bible studies,
vacation Bible schools, and tutoring sessions.
They become a gathering place for senior citizens as well as food distribution
