In order to be successful and thrive in school we believe that every student should be happy. At Matravers we care greatly for each and every student and ensure that we personally provide the support and guidance they need in order to be happy. Our experienced and dedicated pastoral team guarantees that each student is recognised as an individual.


Every student is unique and our outstanding care and guidance ensures that they are supported and nurtured. Each student has their own Tutor who is the first point of contact for any concerns. Other layers of support exist throughout the school to provide encouragement and challenge as needed.

Rewards are a very important aspect of school life at Matravers and underpin our ethos, from individual rewards and recognition to whole school rewards. Where needed, clear sanctions exist in order to enhance the high standards of behaviour throughout the school.
