What the judges said: The leadership team of this small but burgeoning organisation has won the award for its strategic focus, drive and inclusivity. This is evident in five specific areas: vision, structured team work, learning and adapting, people-orientation and growth. It has demonstrated outstanding results, and the leadership team has created a corporate culture which translates across the globe, as it continues to learn, develop and grow its organisation and the individuals who work in it.

What the judges said: Our winner founded his business in 2005 after a career with large developers including Bovis Homes and Taylor Woodrow. He skillfully managed the company through the credit crunch, and has now built over 500 bespoke homes in over 50 locations across London and the South East. His passion to build new homes of exceptional quality was evident when judges met at one of the new sites. He impressed the judges with his strong business acumen and clear vision for the company’s future land acquisitions.

What the judges said: This company was the largest privately-held software company in the UK and one of the most trusted providers of business-critical software and services to small and medium-sized businesses in the UK today. In 2018, Kevin Dady successfully oversaw the acquisitions of Taxfiler and Contact Group and the recent sale of the business, which was the UK’s largest ever private-equity led software buyout, with an enterprise value of £1.3 billion.
