Honouring the top achievements at the night of the year for property professionals

In just three years the South Coast Property Awards has grown quickly to become “a flagship awards night – the property event in the Solent region’s calendar”, announced David Murray, publisher of The Business Magazine, as he welcomed finalists and guests to the gala dinner at the Hilton Ageas Bowl

“We at The Business Magazine are delighted to be running these awards, and to bring you all together this evening - developers, builders, agents, planners, consultants, property lawyers, dealmakers. You are testament to the strength, depth and vibrancy of the south coast property community.”

With 16 prestigious professional titles at stake, the South Coast Property Awards event was attended by more than 400 guests – many of them nervously and hopefully awaiting the announcement of the judges’ decisions.

The SCPA Judging Panel, who Murray thanked wholeheartedly, had successfully assessed the award nominees from business parks to builders; regeneration projects to residential homes; property law to client service; workplace environments to architectural excellence, and then decided upon worthy winners – some gained more than one prized title.

Murray also acknowledged the committed support of the SCPA sponsors – Ashville Group, Barton Willmore, Blake Morgan, CBRE, CoStar, Cybrid Solutions, Dutton Gregory, HBS Group Services, Lambert Smith Hampton, McCarthy & Stone, Moore Blatch, Smith & Williamson, and Trethowans.

“But, we are here to celebrate property in the Solent and South Coast region, both commercial and residential, and to recognise the achievers, both firms and individuals, who have stood out in the past 12-15 months,” remarked Murray.

And without further ado the 2018 South Coast Property Awards was underway….

From the media worlds of CBBC to F1 motor-racing, Premier League football to the London Olympics, presenter Jake Humphrey delighted the audience with personal insights of his broadcasting career and ensured the evening ran smoothly and entertainingly in his guest host role.

The event’s chosen charity of the night was The Rainbow Centre, which helps children and adults with cerebral palsy, MS, Parkinsons, stroke and head injury to lead more active independent and full lives. A winning cause with all, the Fareham-based charity later received a cash-boost of £4,568 donated by generous South Coast Property Awards attendees.
