WSO RETURN WITH FAMILY CONCERT


Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra are returning to Holy Trinity Church this Autumn with a brand new family concert featuring Gaspard the Fox.


The show is a collaboration between narrator and author Zeb Soanes and award- winning composer and conductor Leo Geyer. Zeb’s voice will be familiar to listeners of BBC’s Radio 4 where he is a regular newsreader on the Today


Programme, Six O’Clock News and The News Quiz. He has presented The BBC Proms and performs with orchestras around the UK.


Family friendly Rather than a traditional concert, the event will be a dramatized narration with classical music. The aim is to make the event as interactive and family- friendly as possible, explained Laura Giblin, Membership Secretary, violinist and local mum to 6 year old Edward.


Holy Trinity Church is a great venue – being open and on one level means that the children are free to engage with the show rather than just sitting in their seats. There is lots of space for children to jump or move around and children of all ages are welcome.
