Business News Business News Latest news from Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Rebecca is the face of the future By Jessica Brookes

Rebecca Halbert is the Future Face of Greater Birmingham after receiving the accolade at the Future Faces’ annual dinner and awards at Symphony Hall. The marketing manager at commercial property agency GVA also scooped the Future Face of Sales, Marketing and Communications. Rebecca has held a number of key

communications positions since completing her Bachelor of Arts in fashion marketing and branding at Nottingham Trent University. She worked as a fundraising communications

officer for Parkinson’s UK in London before moving back to Birmingham as Millennium Point’s marketing manager and Trustee for the Buddy Bag Foundation. There she instrumented the Duke and Duchess

of Sussex’s visit to Millennium Point in March, where she project-managed and organised the event, which secured £4m in national media coverage. Rebecca is an avid supporter of Future Faces

and is keen to help her colleagues, create opportunities for other young professionals and demonstrate exemplary leadership skills. Future Faces is part of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and their chief operating officer Russell Jeans, chairman of the judging panel, said: “Rebecca is a great example of the young, dynamic professionals that are a part of Future Faces. “She presented a strong application that

showed her enthusiasm, professionalism and excellence in work. However she was not the only one who demonstrated excellence. All the winners and shortlisted candidates’ applications were of extremely high calibre which reflects positively on the young professional sector in Greater Birmingham.”
