Connecting and inspiring music educators across the state towards advocacy for music in schools. MEMBERSHIP
Membership with the WMEA isn’t just being a part of a peer group. Whether it’s supporting and encouraging music outreach or helping members continue their music education, we are committed to fostering strong educators for Wyoming’s music students. We are proud to offer resources and opportunities for all music educators in Wyoming.
Your $119.00 membership grants you access to both WMEA resources as well as NAfME membership and the benefits associated with the national organization. You’ll receive a subscription to our magazine, Windsong, along with information and opportunities for your students, including the All-State Honor Band, Choir, and Orchestra, and the National Honor Ensembles.
ADVOCACY
The heart of the WMEA mission is advocacy. We want to grow a better environment for cultivating music and musicians in Wyoming. Only through standing up for the importance of music education in our schools can we ensure that our students receive the opportunities and support they deserve. In pursuing this goal, we strive to provide resources and tools to help our members give voice to music education.
We support NAfME’s initiative, Think Beyond Bubbles: Be a Broader Mind.
“Music not only impacts academic achievement, it also shapes the way our students understand themselves and the world around them. Let’s think beyond the bubbles and educate the whole student.”
