WITHYBED POETS are a group of poetry writers who meet in Withybed Green to share their poems and write together. They are open to anyone who enjoys writ- ing and sharing poetry. They love reading their poems to audiences, which they do at the monthly Acoustic Roots in Alve- church, but also for libraries, churches, community groups and festivals. FOR THE first time, WORDS of Broms- grovewelcomes the son of one of their favourite past guests! The poet Ian McMillan visited WORDS in 1998 and 2007, and is now followed by his son, Andrew, at Artrix in Bromsgrove on Sun Sep 16 at 7.30pm. Andrew’s debut was the first poetry


collection to win the Guardian First Book Award and explores male love and loss, physicality and sensuality. His second collection was published this summer. Andrew will read his poetry and talk about his life and writing. There will be a chance to ask questions and buy his books, as well as to enjoy refreshments. If you are not a WORDS member,
