In March 2018, Edina, a leading supplier, installer and maintenance provider for combined heat and power (CHP), gas and diesel power generation solutions was acquired by EPAL, a joint venture between India’s EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Ltd) and UK based EnergyPro Asset Management Ltd. Across Edina’s 30 year history the company has enjoyed considerable success in the natural gas, biogas and, sewage and waste water treatment CHP markets within the UK and Ireland. The acquisition will support Edina’s strategy in developing its overseas objectives and leverage EESL’s brand and international presence to deliver energy efficient and sustainable CHP solutions worldwide, reports UKPN.

integration to site infrastructure realising the strategic objectives of the power generation project whilst maximising the return on client investment. Once the site is operational and producing
power, Edina’s Service and Maintenance teams manage the performance, efficiency and availability of the generating set 24-hours -a-day, 7-days-a week. Through advanced real-time remote
monitoring telematics and system manage- ment efficiencies, Edina’s call desk engineers can diagnose engine faults instantaneously, reducing costs to customers and maintaining security of power supply at site. Edina has built a reputable track record
delivering and maintaining power generation solutions for over 250 customers and boasts an impressive portfolio of over 500MWe installed gas capacity in the UK and Ireland and a further 170MWe received pipeline orders. Edina is also well established within the full
turnkey delivery of balancing peaking plants, with over 190MWe installed across twelve sites and a further 140MWe awaiting energisation. Peaking plants maintain security of power supply caused by the imbalance of renewable energy sources on the grid, such as wind and solar. Edina’s recognised power generation
solutions have been installed within hospitals, universities, leisure and hospitality, food and drink sector, sewage treatment and
