FILM SHORTS
03/08 Ant-Man and
The Wasp Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) returns as the smallest super-hero who… OK, I’ve still got a problem with this. He turned really, really big in Civil War, but now he’s going back to being small again. Why?! Surely Giant-Man is handier in, like, 99% of evil villain related incidents. I like Paul Rudd, but this premise just boils my fucking piss.
24/08
Slender Man Based on the scariest internet phenomenon since Blue Waffle, Slender Man is the heavily anticipated horror about the long-armed, faceless demon-thing that lures children into committing horrific acts of self-harm or face the consequences. Will it still be the creepiest pasta since haunted ravioli, or about as scary as mac n’ cheese? See it to find out.
12/08
The Predator How do you remake a classic Arnie movie without having Arnie in it? It’s a trick question – you don’t. Fuck this film. Oh, it’s directed by Shane Black? Fine, I’ll still probably watch it then – but don’t expect me to enjoy it!
21/09 Climax
Latest film from Gaspar Noé the (in)famous boundary pushing French director behind Irreversible and Enter the Void, Climax is based around a group of urban dancers who meet for a post-rehearsal party full of dancing, drugged punch, and surreal madness. If you like your movies arty and challengingly offensive then this is the one for you.
