Aldeburgh Carnival Ready fo Take-Off!
FLYING high with the theme of ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, Aldeburgh Carni- val is set to blast off over the weekend of August 18th - 20th. Live Music Saturday will feature pop- up bandstands throughout the town, Sports Sunday will challenge all ages and abilities and Carnival Monday will highlight a spectacular mix of cos- tumes, bands, arena dis- plays and fireworks – all after the air/sea rescue demonstration. The Car- nival Queen will be crowned with a fanfare from the Band of the King’s Division and the many floats could make rocket science look easy before the iconic Chinese
Lantern Procession threads its way through the town to fireworks on the beach. Programmes with a full timetable, entry forms and parking advice are on sale locally or through info@aldeburghcarnival. com which also lists a wide variety of very worthwhile lots in the Silent Auction. The recent winner of the
top award for Best Family Tourism Event in Norfolk & Suffolk, the 76th Alde- burgh Carnival will amuse and entertain all ages. Come and join in, have fun and help raise money for charities and other good causes.
