Try Clay Shoot- ing sessions run midweek and Have-a-Go days take place on the second Satur- day of each month. Charges are per head and include all equipment and instruction. Those more experi-
enced shooters looking to develop their skills can opt for either a one-to-one or group coaching ses- sion. The team of profes- sional instructors, led by John himself, are all trained to coach the Move Mont Shoot technique which has been perfected over many years. Of course, shooting makes a great private or corporate event. Packages can be tailored to your specific requirements to suit num- ber of guests/budgets. This always proves to be a great day, helping to develop competitive spir- it and team building.
GOLF The 9-hole golf course
was added to the site around 15 years. Built by John and his team, the course is set in over 50 acres and is perfect for all types of golfer, whether they are regular players or the occasional fair-weath- er golfer. It goes without saying that the course is a beautiful place to just enjoy the scenery, let alone a round of relaxed golf with your friends. One of the more recent developments is footgolf. This is available between 12pm and 3pm Monday to Sunday and is exactly what is sounds like. Instead of a golf ball you use a football and instead of golf clubs you use your feet! This is great fun and just like golf, the fewest amount of shots wins.
OTHER SPORTS In addition to shooting
and golf, visitors to High Lodge can enjoy Archery, Fishing and Air Rifle shooting. Archery is available once a month with the next two dates being Saturday 18th August and Saturday 15th September. The sessions are available at either

There are two lakes available for fish- ing, one is available for public and corporate use, the other is situated in front of the lodges and is for use by holiday lodge customers only. The air rifle shooting is set in nat- ural woodlands at High Lodge. There are five ranges with field targets set at various distances. Owners are welcome to bring their own air rifle, but equipment is provided for those who wish to try this out but do not have their own air rifle. This is all done under instruction.
HOLIDAY LODGES You may not know it,
there are 19 holiday lodg- es on site here at High Lodge. Waters Edge and Lake View lodges to the rear of the site and the new Claywood develop- ment at the front. All lodges are holiday let only and are perfect for a quiet weekend getaway or an action-packed activity holiday. Where else would you have shooting, golf, angling and archery on your doorstep? This is the latest development at
High Lodge, and, like all other aspects of the busi- ness, only the best will do. The luxury lodges have parking, stunning coun- tryside, golf course or lake views and many have a private hot tub.

Over the years the offer-
ings here have become popular with businesses looking for corporate events. The clubhouse has been extended over time and now offers a large bar area and restaurant which lends itself to all sorts of events. Naturally this includes weddings, and the team now hold 25 weddings a year. Every- thing is handled on site so all you need to worry about is getting there and enjoying your big day! Of course, before the big day there are always stag and hen parties to arrange. Again, where better to enjoy and day and night with your friends and family? There is plenty of accommodation on site and no shortage of activi- ties for a memorable bash.
